Mission
Salam is Sudanese non governmental organization aiming at strengthening civilians to improve the level of their living and the quality of their life. Its activities based upon three Pillars: awareness, rehabilitation and development. The organization gives greater emphasis to women, youth and civil society movement. In order to achieve these goals it implements programs and action plans in four areas which are promoting peace, poverty reduction, supporting women and youth, and strengthening the voluntary work.
Vision
Salam organization aspires to build an active, trained and committed community to the principles of participatory democracy, social justice and civic voluntary as crucial tools to achieve sustainable peace, stability, minimizing poverty and building a better world. The slogan "Citizens for a Better World" embodies the vision of the organization.
Values
Salam is realistic about the challenges of the times, but also believes that hope exists and change is possible if the efforts of the People are combined and opportunity is given to unleash the potential amid ordinary citizens, especially women and youth. Therefore collective action, participatory democracy, learning from others, objectivity, transparency and effectiveness are the values of Salam organization.

Characteristics of the organization
• We have all the Basic infrastructure to achieve the goals and objectives of the project such as Hi-tech office,(computer with all the Peripherals, Broad band internet connection, Fax, telephone, Audio- visual component etc.)
• Governing board of our organization has representation of all the community.
• Our organization believes in transparency at every level of work.
• We maintained all accounts book on the computer and it’s absolutely up-to-date.
• We have the strong network with the local administration and other N.G.O, and we are member of the national repute network like, Sudan Council of Voluntary Association (SCOVA).
• We have also advisory Board, which is entitled to give support in the planning level.
